NVIDIA has made available a new version of its Quadro Graphics driver, namely 397.64 (Release R396 U1.5), which implements full support for the Vulkan 1.1 API and passes the Vulkan Conformance Test Suite (CTS) version 1.1.0.3.

In addition to that, the current update includes support for Windows 10 April 2018 Update (Redstone 4), adds developer preview for NVIDIA RTX ray tracing technology for DirectX 12 (NVIDIA Volta GPUs), and makes sure GDI objects won’t increase every time an app queries NVAPI.

However, take into account that the update might still encounter Assimilate Scratch crashes due to a kernel exception, as well as flashing, application corruptions, and a possible BSOD crash when using specific Quadro Sync configurations.

When it comes to compatibility, the update is suitable for both desktops and notebooks running under the 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 platforms. Still, make sure that your GPU model is supported (check the Release Notes below).

Regarding installation, save the appropriate package compatible with your operating system, run it, and wait for the wizard to extract all files required for the upgrade. Afterward, follow all on-screen instructions for a complete and successful installation.

That said, download NVIDIA Quadro Graphics Driver 397.64, apply it on your computer, perform a restart upon completion, and always check our website to be aware when a newer version is available for download.
