PHOTTIX has rolled out a new firmware update targeted at its Odin 1.5 TTL (Through The Lens) Trigger for Canon cameras, namely version 2.10, which implements Odin II functionality such as Groups, Channels, and Digital ID.

Considering the change, if you intend to apply this release on your device, then save and extract the downloadable archive on your computer, run the available setup, and use a USB cable to establish a connection between your Odin 1.5 TTL trigger and the computer.

However, bear in mind that PHOTTIX allows installing the 2.10 firmware on Mac OS X platforms, as well as on both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows operating systems; all needed files can be found in the archive.

Moving forward, power on the Odin 1.5 TCU, click “Version,” ensure the displayed build isn’t newer or the same as the present update. If all is OK, select “Software,” navigate and choose the .fds file, and allow the installation to take place.

After this step, the wizard will show an “Update OK” message. At this point, you should just remove the USB cable and perform the same steps once more to upgrade the Odin 1.5 Receiver as well.

With this in mind, download PHOTTIX Odin 1.5 TTL Trigger for Canon Firmware 2.10, upgrade your TTL trigger, and make use of the newly added improvements. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
