When it comes to the AP firmware, this version changes default SSID from “Open” to WPA2, and resolves the event where the device wasn’t able to associate to an SSID using WPA2 Enterprise authentication (after an extended usage period).
As for the routers, firmware 6.2.1 allows compatible models to make use of more than 30 PPTP connections and create a DNS record with custom IP Address, displays them on the OSPF & RIPv2 status page, fixes IP Spoofing protection, improves GPS reliability.
In addition to that, Peplink’s routers will also receive SNMP trap options for WAN, the ability to access webUI from a connected DSL modem, a new interface that handles DNS inquiries, additional channel selection support, as well as CLI router backup via TFTP.
