Olympus has announced the availability of new firmware packages developed for its E-M1, E-M5 Mark II, E-M10 Mark II, and PEN-F cameras, namely versions 4.2, 2.3, 1.2, and 1.1, respectively, which include support for Macro Flash STF-8 and Electronic Flash FL-900R and improve video exposure stability.

If you want to benefit from these improvements and consider an upgrade, first save the appropriate package that will help upgrade your camera: available for both 32- and 64-bit variants of Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 OSes, as well as for Mac OS X 10.8 and later platforms.

Once saved, execute the downloaded file, establish a USB connection between your Olympus camera and the computer, select “Next,” and wait for the wizard to search and find the new firmware update depending on your camera model.

Afterward, select the appropriate update (once found) and press the “Update” button, choose “Yes” and “Agree” at the next dialogs, and wait for this process to finish. Upon completion, your camera’s LCD will display an “OK” message, at which point you must click “Next” and terminate the USB connection.

That said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your camera model, get the firmware update, and install the current software on your Olympus device. Also, check our website as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
