NVIDIA has made available its 382.68 beta Vulkan GeForce graphics driver, which updates VulkanRT loader to 1.0.51.0, implements various performance improvements and bug fixes, and adds several new extensions.

Specifically speaking, users can now make use of GL_EXT_memory_object, GL_EXT_memory_object_win32, GL_EXT_memory_object_fd, GL_EXT_semaphore, GL_EXT_semaphore_win32, GL_EXT_semaphore_fd, and GL_EXT_win32_keyed_mutex extensions.

In addition to that, NVIDIA’s current update also adds support for VK_EXT_blend_operation_advanced and VK_NV_framebuffer_mixed_samples extensions.

In terms of compatibility, the producer has provided four downloadable packages suitable for both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 operating systems. However, the configuration must include one of the supported GPU models, as highlighted on the description page.

As for installation, save the appropriate package for your computer, run it and wait for all files required to be extracted, and follow the on-screen instructions for a complete and successful upgrade.

Last but not least, once completed, make sure to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. However, if this task isn’t requested automatically, it would be a good idea to restart the device manually.
