NVIDIA has rolled out a new GeForce graphics driver, namely version 355.78, which provides beta support for VR developers using Oculus 0.7 SDK. In other words, the producer recommends that all VR developers upgrade to this driver.

Besides this, version 355.78 also resolves an intermittent issue found in the publicly released NVIDIA GeForce 355.60 Game Ready Driver, as well as the problem that lead to incorrect display timings.

In terms of compatibility, NVIDIA has provided 4 downloadable packages suitable for Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 operating systems, both 32- and 64-bit variants. However, the producer hasn’t highlighted the supported GPU models.

Therefore, if you intend to upgrade your computer’s video driver, simply save the appropriate package for your configuration, run it, wait for all files required for the installation to be extracted, and follow all instructions displayed on screen for a successful update.

In addition to that, once finished, it would be a good idea to reboot your computer in order to allow all changes to take effect properly. You can do that either manually or allowing the wizard to do it for you.

However, bear in mind that trying to install these packages on other OSes or computers including an unsupported GPU series (such as Quadro, Tesla, and so on) isn’t recommended and might lead to various corruptions.

That being said, download NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 355.78, apply it on your system, and constantly check our website to stay informed about when a newer version is available for download.
