The update addresses crash issues on GeForce GTX 860M GPUs

NVIDIA has made available a new GeForce graphics driver, namely version 359.12 hotfix, which resolves the crashes on GeForce GTX 860M GPUs when playing games such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Assassins Creed: Syndicate, and more.

Since the issue has affected on the graphics card mentioned above, the downloadable packages are compatible only with notebook configurations running one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 operating systems, either 32- or 64-bit architectures.

However, before rushing into installing this update, know that all of NVIDIA’s hotfix driver releases are beta and provided as-is. The only reason the producer makes available these type of files is to get certain fixes and workarounds out to users more quickly.

Thus, if you intend to apply version 359.12 hotfix, save the appropriate package for your system’s OS and bit variant, run it, and wait so that the wizard can extract all files required for the installation. Once completed, just follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful upgrade.

In addition to that, after the new version is applied, it would be a good idea to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically, make sure to carry it out manually.

That said, download NVIDIA Notebook GeForce Graphics Driver 359.12 Hotfix, install it, and constantly check our website to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
