Today, NVIDIA has made available a new version of its Quadro graphics driver, namely 354.74, which adds security updates for driver components, therefore fixing certain Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

To be clear, the present update is targeted at both desktop or notebook configurations running under one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 platforms (either bit architecture). Also you can download a Quadro SDI package as well that is compatible with Windows Vista and 7 OSes only.

In addition to that, desktop configurations benefit from an additional package that installs version 354.74 on the 64-bit architectures of Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, and 2012 R2 operating systems.

When it comes to improvements, NVIDIA has managed to remove certain bugs that caused Kernel driver escape to allow untrusted pointers (CVE-2016-2558) and access to restricted functionality (CVE-2016-2556), as well as grant memory access privileges (CVE-2016-2557).

As for installation, simply make sure your GPU model is valid, save the appropriate package for your configuration, run it, and wait for all files required for the upgrade to be extracted. Afterwards, follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful update.

That said, download NVIDIA Quadro Graphics Driver 354.74, take into account all aspects above, and check back with us as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
