The release ensures camera doesn’t have issues turning on

Today, Nikon has made available a new firmware package compatible with its W100 digital camera, namely version 1.2, which manages to remove a bug that prevented the camera from turning on.

In addition to that, the current update also fixes an issue that caused increased drain on the battery when Bluetooth was disabled and Airplane mode was on. Still, take into account that these matters were encountered in rare cases.

So, if you consider these changes helpful, go to Menu > Setup > Firmware Version, make sure the unit’s firmware build isn’t either newer or matching the present release, and save the appropriate package for your computer’s OS (available for both Mac OS and Windows platforms).

Afterward, run it to extract the firmware file to a new folder, transfer the “firmware” folder to a memory card that has been formatted in the camera, ensure the COOLPIX unit is completely turned off and has a fully charged battery, and insert the SD card and power on the device.

Now, go to Menu > Setup > Firmware Version once more and follow all on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update. Also, during installation, make sure you don’t remove the battery/SD card, use the camera’s buttons, or interrupt the upgrade in any way.

That said, download Nikon COOLPIX W100 Camera Firmware 1.2, carefully upgrade your imaging device and enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
