AMD has just made available a new version of its Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics driver, namely 18.5.1, which adds support for Radeon RX 400 Series and RX 500 Series desktop graphics products, and is compatible with Microsoft’s PlayReady 3.0.

In addition to that, the producer also includes support for its Ryzen Desktop Processors with Radeon Vega Graphics, increases performance for Ancestors Legacy (up to 6% and 13% faster for Radeon RX Vega 56 and Radeon RX 580 8GB cards, respectively).

Moreover, the current update resolves Destiny 2 loading times, tearing seen in some borderless fullscreen games, Netflix playback corruptions or hangs, as well as the intermittent fails encountered when uploading of videos to Facebook using Radeon ReLive.

However, AMD cards might still encounter issues with Radeon Overlay, Radeon ReLive, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and other problems highlighted in the Release Notes below.

Regarding compatibility, besides the supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 32- or 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 or 10 operating system. In addition to that, the producer has also provided a minimal setup utility file that automatically downloads and installs the required AMD driver components.

Therefore, to upgrade to this version, uninstall any previous AMD driver present on your computer, perform a reboot, save and run the downloadable executable suitable for your configuration and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete and successful upgrade.

With this in mind, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 18.5.1, install it and perform a reboot once finished to enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
