The firmware fixes issue where tracks couldn’t be removed

FiiO has announced the availability of a new firmware package targeted at its X1 2nd Gen audio player, namely version 1.6.0, which makes it possible for certain songs to be sorted by track no. under the album category, and disables the Scroll wheel press function by default.

In addition to that, the present package removes a bug that prevented tracks from being removed or displayed titles and lyrics incorrectly (or didn’t display them at all), and ensures the fast search function works after setting the “File name display” to “Title.”

Moreover, firmware 1.6.0 also adds gapless playback function (Play Settings > Playback gap), fixes the No Sound Output / Sound Out of Tune / System Crash issues with some tracks, and includes several miscellaneous bug fixes.

When it comes to installation, just save the downloadable package onto a formatted microSD card, connect it to the X1 unit, and turn on FiiO’s music player while holding the upper left button to initiate the upgrade.

Once completed, configure your preferred interface language, update the media library again, and format the memory card. However, do not use the device’s buttons, remove its battery, or interrupt the process in any way, as this can lead to serious malfunctions.

That said, download FiiO X1 2nd Gen Portable Player Firmware 1.6.0, apply it to enjoy all these new features and changes, and check back with us constantly to be aware when a newer version is available.
