The release fixes issues regarding SNMP agent and EZconfig

NETGEAR has rolled out a new firmware package targeted at its M4100 switch models, namely version 10.0.2.20, which promises to fix issues regarding the SNMP agent collecting MIB objects, as well as LLDP and LLDP-MED problems with inventory display.

Moreover, the present update removes the bug that prevented error messages from being displayed when hardware limit in adding ACL was reached, fixes several issues with EZConfig and DHCP, and implements various changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

To be clear about the compatible devices, the update is suitable for M4100-26G (GSM7224v2h2), M4100-50G (GSM7248v2h2), M4100-D12G (GSM5212), and M4100-12GF (GSM7212F) switches, and for the M4100-26G-POE (GSM7226LP), M4100-50-POE (FSM7250P), M4100-26-POE (FSM7226P), and devices M4100-D10-POE (FSM5210P).

In addition to that, firmware 10.0.2.20 is also supported on NETGEAR’s M4100-50G-POE+ (GSM7248P), M4100-D12G-POE+ (GSM5212P), M4100-24G-POE+ (GSM7224P), and M4100-12G-POE+ (GSM7212P) device models.

When it comes to installation, first make sure to save your device’s current configuration just in case, save and unzip the downloadable archive, log into the unit’s administration page, and go to its Maintenance > HTTP File Download.

Afterwards, hit browse, select the firmware file, click the “Apply” button, and wait patiently as the process is being initiated. Do not interrupt this process in any way in order to be sure that no malfunctions will be encountered.
