The new release fixes some Guest network access problems

Today, NETGEAR rolled out a new firmware update developed for its D7000 Nighthawk AC1900 router, namely version 1.0.0.18, which fixes some Guest network access issues, and incorporated the new Tx power country code for CE.

With this in mind, if you intend to make use of these changes, first of all check your router’s currently installed version and make sure that its present firmware isn’t either newer or matching this release.

If all is ok, write down all settings you have modified from the default values, as you might need to re-enter them, save and unzip the downloadable archive, and establish a wired connection between the router and your computer.

Afterwards, log into the device's administration page (username and password should be requested), go to Advanced > Administration  > Firmware Upgrade, click ‘Browse,” and navigate and select the newly-extracted .img file.

Now, simply hit “Upload,” and wait patiently for your router to do its job. However, bear in mind that removing Ethernet/Power cable from either device, or interrupting the installation in any way can lead to various malfunctions.

That being said, download NETGEAR D7000 Router Firmware 1.0.0.18, apply it on your wireless unit, and check our website as often as possible in order to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
