The new update fixes a VLAN ID 2-related issue

Just now, NETGEAR has made available a new firmware package targeted at its FS526Tv2 and FS728TLP switches, namely version 1.0.1.14, which fixes a limitation issue that prevented VLAN ID 2 from being properly configured.

That being said, if you have been encountering this problem, log into the device's administration page and check its currently installed firmware. If it isn’t either newer or matching this release, then you should save and unzip the downloadable package.

Now, establish a wired connection between your switch and the computer you have saved the firmware on (this ensures a high stability level), log into its administration page once more, and go to the “Firmware Upgrade” section.

From there, simply click “Browse,” navigate and select the newly-extracted .rom file, hit “Upload,” and wait patiently for the switch to do its job.

Still, bear in mind that, during installation, you mustn’t remove the Ethernet/power cable from neither devices, power off/reboot the switch or the computer, or interrupt the upgrade in any way. Doing so could lead to various device malfunctions.

With this in mind, download NETGEAR FS526Tv2 Firmware 1.0.1.14 or download NETGEAR FS728TLP Firmware 1.0.1.14, apply it on your device, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
