MikroTik has rolled out RouterOS firmware 6.36.2 compatible with all its switches, access points, routers, and several other devices, which fixes various IPv6 timeout display and shows CPU frequency under resources menu.

This present release also resolves issues with conntrack removing ICMPv6 (Internet Control Message Protocol) connections and the CAPsMAN upgrade policy, as well as with the unnecessary dynamic DNS server address that is being saved in storage.

In addition to that, MikroTik will fix problems regarding the ddmi info reporting function in SFP+ interface, correct CRS switches configuration, update default values in /system routerboard settings menu, and resolve multicore system disconnections.

Moreover, compatible devices will be able to adjust “query-server-timeout” and “query-total-timeout” values, and won’t experience crashes When repartitioning when there is not enough free space.

As for installing this update, first, make sure to get the proper downloadable package for your device architecture. MikroTik has provided different files for each of its ARM, PPC, MIPS-BE, x86, Tile, and SMIPS product types.

Afterwards, connect to your unit using Windbox, copy the .npk file onto its root file menu directory, and wait for the upload to finish. Upon completion, just reboot the unit and check the currently installed version to ensure it has been successfully applied.

That said, download MikroTik RouterOS Firmware 6.36.2 for your specific configuration, carefully upgrade it to the present version and enjoy the new changes this release brings about.
