Microsoft has made available the download links for its July 11, 2017, Cumulative Firmware and Drivers pack targeted at Surface Pro 4 devices, which install a new Surface Type Cover Filter Device driver (1.1.504.0) that adds support for Surface Pro Type and Signature Type Covers.

In terms of installation, deciding to upgrade your device via Windows Update service means that you’ll have to wait for your Surface to receive the July 11, 2017, package. Through this service all updates are provided to all customers in stages; thus, you might not receive it right now.

However, if you are anxious about this release and want it now, simply save and run the downloadable file on your Surface unit, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful installation.

Moreover, there are two files available: one .MSI package that automatically applies the new software and drivers to your tablet, as well as one .ZIP archive that allows you to perform a custom install (only the drivers you want to upgrade).

Sill, don’t forget that this package is only compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 10 platform. Moreover, after applying the present release, it would be a good idea to reboot your tablet manually (if not requested automatically), to ensure all changes take effect correctly.

With this in mind, download Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Firmware July 11, 2017, install it, and check our website as often as possible, as we’ll keep you posted when a newer update is available.
