Just now, Leshcat has announced the availability of a new AMD Catalyst UnifL Graphics driver version, namely 15.9.1 v1.0.1, which implements a DX9 performance fix for all AMD video cards, and prevents Windows Update drivers from overwriting its UnifL packages.

In addition to that, the developer has managed to apply a Microsoft fix for all Intel Generations that should resolve Standby, wakeup, and shutdown issues on many laptops, as well as set “ForceVideoPlaybackToIntegrated” parameter to 1 in order to smoothen video playback.

Moreover, Leshcat’s update also unlocks CCC profiles and enables “KMD_EnableCrossGpuDisplaySupport” parameter for all AMD devices in order to fix HDMI and black screen errors (only on Windows 7 and 8.1).

Last but not least, this build changes “EnableUlps” parameter to 0 by default on all AMD cards so that Delayed Startup or BSODs won’t be encountered. Also, take into account that it delivers a slight boost of power in exchange for a little more battery.

In terms of the versions that are to be installed, Leshcat’s release will apply the 15.201.1151.1004 AMD Graphics driver, as well as the 7.12.0.7723 (Windows 7), 9.0.0.9909 (Windows 8.1), or 10.0.0.01 (Windows 10) AMD HDMI audio driver.

As for the Intel chipsets, you will receive one of the 8.15.10.2900 (for Legacy), 9.17.10.4229 (for Modern), 10.18.10.4276 (for Iris), or 10.18.14.4279 (for Iris Pro, Haswell, and Broadwell) Intel HD Graphics versions depending on the CPU model.

That being said, download Leshcat AMD UnifL Catalyst Graphics Driver 15.9.1, apply it, reboot your system, and enjoy the changes this new release brings about.

Update: We have been notified by the developer that the present driver contained some errors, therefore it has been removed.
