Intel has announced the availability of its new Ethernet Connections CD and network adapter driver, namely version 21.1, which adds support for Microsoft’s Windows Server 2016 and 2016 Nano OSes, as well as for VLAN ID.

In addition to that, the present release allows users to make use of Virtual Machine Multiple Queues (VMMQ), Packet Direct Provider Interface (PDPI), Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN), and Encapsulation Overhead on Windows configurations.

When it comes to compatible OSes, besides Windows Server 2016, this new version is suitable for both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 operating systems, as well as for the 64-bit architectures of Server 2008 R2, 2012, and 2012 R2 platforms.

Moreover, besides the files above, the producer has also rolled out two Administrative Tool packages (targeted at Linux and Windows OSes), as well as the Connections CD that includes all drivers compatible with the OSes mentioned above.

However, bear in mind that not all devices are compatible with every Windows platform, therefore check the description page of each download to ensure that your Intel unit is supported.
