Intel has just made available a new Iris and HD Graphics driver, namely version 10.18.15.4256, which includes compatibility with Microsoft’s 64-bit architecture of Windows 10, as well as support for DirectX 11.3, DirectX 12, PlayReady 3 for 1080p playback, and Miracast.

In addition to that, the producer ensures its users that graphics, media, and display features currently available on Windows 8.1 configurations will also be present for 4th- and 5th-generation Core CPUs on this latest operating system.

If applied, the 4256 build will also fix an issue spotted on Windows 8 (DirectX10 and DirectX11) touch-enabled systems, where games would be rendered with “Centered” scaling if resolution was set to less than the native panel resolution. This won’t bother you anymore on Windows 10.

When it comes to supported components, Intel highlights that its release is to be applied on systems containing a 5th-gen Core CPU with HD Graphics 5500, 5600, or 6000, Iris Graphics 6100, or with Iris Pro Graphics 6200.

Moreover, Intel’s 4th-generation Core CPU with HD Graphics 4200, 4400, 4600, or 5000, Iris Graphics 5100, or with Iris Pro Graphics 5200, as well as its Core M processor (with HD Graphics 5300) products are also compatible with this update.

As for installation, simply ensure that your computer is supported and it is powered by a Windows 10 64-bit platform, save and unzip the archive, run the available setup, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen.

That being said, download Intel Iris/HD Graphics Driver 10.18.15.4256, apply it on your system, and enjoy the new experience of Microsoft’s latest Windows platform. Also, constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
