Intel has announced the availability of a new HD Graphics package, namely version 20.19.15.4300, which adds support for the 6th Generation Core CPUs with Iris Graphics 540 and 550, and resolves several issues.

However, take into account that this new update is only compatible with the NUC board and kit models highlighted in the Release Notes. Also, these devices must be powered by one of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8.1 OS, or by the 64-bit variant of Windows 10 platform.

Moving forward with the changes, the present release will remove the bugs that caused the resolution to change to 1024x768 after system reboot, as well as the system to hang on resume from S3 (or when playing Youku video in Internet Explorer).

In addition to that, no graphics corruptions will be encountered while playing video via Movies & TV and changing display mode, or when running 3DMark DX12 API Overhead Feature Test, and the Windows camera preview screen won’t flicker after switch to camera or video.

Moreover, POST logo will always be visible in DP 1.2 panel when resuming from S4, and external monitors won’t have sound-related problems when connected via HDMI.

When it comes to installation, simply save and run the appropriate package for your NUC device, follow all instructions, and perform a system reboot upon completion in order to allow all changes to take effect properly.

With this in mind, download Intel NUC Graphics Driver 20.19.15.4300, apply it on your mini-PC, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
