Intel has made available new SSD Toolbox and SSD Data Center Tool (DCT) versions, namely 3.3.3 and 2.3.1, respectively, which can upgrade firmware for its SSD 750 and DC P3500 series products.

Specifically speaking, the 3.3.3 toolbox and 2.3.1 DCT releases can apply firmware 8EV10174 on the Intel 750 series SSDs. Moreover, the new data center tool can also install revision 8DV10174 on the producer’s SSD DC P3500 series units.

Regarding changes, both upgradable products receive a fix for the event where certain user data may be inaccessible or at risk of loss (described as INTEL- SA-00046), as well as various improvements to product health.

In addition to that, the 750 series also benefits from workarounds for its improper LED behavior: now LED-On appears when active and LED-Off when idle.

As for the update utilities, the 3.3.3 toolbox won’t have problems handling drives in failure states during the upgrade process. Also, the data center tool receives RSTe 4.3 NVMe RAID support and gets its power governor mode modified to have the ability to update both drives in SSD DC P3608 series.

When it comes to compatibility, you can use these two new files under both bit variants of Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and Server 2008 R2 platforms. Besides these OSes, Intel’s 3.3.3 toolbox also supports Windows XP, Vista, and Server 2008, while the 2.3.1 DCT can work under Server 2012 and 2012 R2 as well.

Considering all aspects described above, download Intel SSD Toolbox 3.3.3 or download Intel SSD Data Center Tool 2.3.1, apply it to your computer, and upgrade your SSD to the latest firmware version.
