The new update implements a security enhancement solution

Intel has a new BIOS package available for its DE3815TY NUC (Next Unit Computing), namely version 0044, suitable for DE3815TYBE NUC boards and DE3815TYKHE NUC kits, which includes a few useful changes.

Specifically speaking, this release implements a new security enhancement solution, fixes the unattended BIOS configuration issue, resolves the SDRAM/+5.0V Standby value detection problems, and updates BIOS Reference Code to version 1.5.0.

When it comes to applying version 0044, the producer has provided several downloadable packages that describe 3 different upgrade methods, such as Recovery, iflash, and Express BIOS Update procedures.

In order to be clear about these methods, the Recovery BIOS Update file is to be used for an F7 BIOS Update method, whereas the iflash-related archive is able to apply version 0040 only from a USB or CD drive, and only through a DOS command prompt.

As for the 2 Express BIOS Update executables, these packages must be run directly from a Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 platform (a file for each bit architecture).

However, make sure not to turn off/reboot your NUC, remove the power cable, or interrupt the process in any way. Doing so can cause serious device malfunctions and might even render the device unusable.

With this in mind, download Intel DE3815TYKHE NUC Kit BIOS 0044 or download Intel DE3815TYBE NUC Board BIOS 0044, apply it on your device, and constantly check our website in order to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
