The new release implements support for Ultra Low Power mode

Intel has announced the availability of a new version of its Ethernet Connections CD and Network Adapter drivers, namely 22.4.0.1, which adds support for Ultra Low Power (ULP) mode, and changes the installation folder for drivers and software.

In addition to that, the current update is suitable for Intel’s Ethernet Connection X552 1000BASE-T and X552 Backplane (under Linux), and removes support for SNMP (end of life of feature) Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter, Gigabit CT2 Desktop Adapter, and 82574L Gigabit Network Connection.

When it comes to compatible operating systems, the producer has provided several downloadable packages targeted at both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 platforms.

Moreover, the 22.4.0.1 release is also supported under Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, and 2016 Nano Server OSes, as well as under MS-DOS and Linux platforms. Still, bear in mind that not all hardware is compatible with each aforementioned operating systems.
