Fujifilm has rolled out new firmware packages targeted at several of its X-Series camera models that add focus limiter function support for XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens, which also benefits from a fresh update (version 1.01).

In order to be clear, the producer has made available firmware 1.20, 2.60, and 3.60 targeted at the X-A2, X-E1, and X-Pro1 cameras, respectively, as well as version 1.40 compatible with Fujifilm’s X-A1 and X-M1 imaging units.

Now, before considering an upgrade, make sure to format a memory card using your camera, as well as insert a fully-charged battery to avoid any potential problems. Also, do not turn the device off or use any of its controls during the installation as this can cause the camera to no longer operate correctly in some cases.

With this in mind, download the appropriate firmware file for your model, transfer it onto the SD card, and then insert it into the camera. Afterwards, turn the device on by pressing “DISP/BACK” button, press “Ok,” and confirm the item as “BODY.”

If all is ok, follow all instructions displayed on-screen to initiate the upgrade, wait for the camera to do its job (take around 90 seconds to complete), and turn off the device after the installation has finished.

Last but not least, make sure to remove and format the memory card, as well as check the camera’s currently installed firmware to ensure the process has been successful.

That said, from the links below, follow the one that best suits your device model, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and constantly check our website to find out when a newer version is available.
