Fujifilm has made available a new firmware package targeted at one of its digital cameras, namely version 4.00 compatible with the X-T2, which adds new functions for storing and reading camera settings by FUJIFILM X Acquire.

In addition to that, the producer adds Focus Bracketing option, allows users to enlarge indicators/information and customize their location, and implements support for 1080/120P high-speed video shooting.

Moreover, firmware 4.00 makes the X-T2 camera compatbile with the FUJINON MKX18-55mmT2.9 and MKX50-135mmT2.9 lens that bring a lot of new features, and adds several other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

If you want to make use of these changes, save the downloadable package, transfer it onto a formatted memory card, and insert the card into the camera. Before moving forward, make sure to use a fully charged battery, as failing to perform the upgrade due to the camera turning off might lead to malfunctions.

Now, power on the X-T2 unit, press the “DISP/BACK” button to display the current firmware version, select “Ok,” confirm the item as “Body,”and agree with the next dialogs regarding the upgrade process.

Still, bear in mind that the installation should take roughly 90 seconds to complete, and if this takes longer, please be patient and do not turn off the camera or remove the memory card. Doing so can cause serious problems or even render the camera unusable.

Once completed, it would be a good idea to remove the SD card used in this process and check the device’s current firmware version to ensure that the upgrade has been successful.

That said, download Fujifilm X-T2 Camera Firmware 4.00, carefully apply it on your device, and enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
