The new update includes support for Tether shooting via USB

Today, Fujifilm has announced the availability of a new firmware package compatible with its latest X-T2 digital camera, namely version 1.10, which includes Tether shooting support via USB connection.

In addition to that, on specific configurations, firmware 1.10 fixes overexposure events, certain shutter speed display issues, as well as the occasional hangs. Also, the camera won’t have problems using AF function with XF18-135mmF3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens.

Moreover, Fujifilm makes sure that Flash i40 made by Nissin for FUJIFILM works properly, implements Lock function during shooting mode, and resolves an issue regarding the CH HIGH-SPEED BURST feature in certain settings.

When it comes to installation, first of all make sure of the following: the camera’s battery is fully charged, a formatted memory card is available, and the currently installed version isn’t either newer or matching this update.

If all is OK, save the downloadable “FWUP0010.DAT” file onto the memory card, insert it into your camera while it’s turned off, and power on the unit by pressing the “DISP/BACK” button.

Now, simply follow all instructions displayed: choose “Yes,” select the body item, agree with the firmware upgrade and wait patiently for the process to finish. Also, make sure not to turn off the device or remove its battery/SD card - doing so will cause serious malfunctions.

After about 90 seconds, once the upgrade has been completed, it is recommended that you turn off your camera, remove its memory card, and check to see if the currently installed firmware version now reads 1.10.

That said, download Fujifilm X-T2 Camera Firmware 1.10, apply it on your device, and enjoy the changes that this new release brings about. Also, check back with us constantly to stay “updated one minute ago.”
