The new release fixes brightness and accuracy issues

PHOTTIX has made available a new firmware package compatible with its Odin II TTL Trigger, namely versions 1.06 and 1.13 for the receiver and transmitter, respectively, which resolve a few issues experienced by some users.

Specifically speaking, the 1.13 (transmitter) firmware removes a bug that prevented the test button and group on/off setting from working properly when Odin II triggers the Strato II receiver.

When it comes to the 1.06 update, the Odin II for Nikon receiver gets improved compatibility with some cameras, so that they won’t affect the brightness and accuracy of the SB-5000 flash anymore.

As for installation, first save and unzip the downloadable archive, locate and run the “FDS_001UPDATA_update.exe” file, connect the Odin II receiver or transmitter to your computer, and hit the “Software” button.

Now, browse and select the newly-extracted .FDS file (ODIN2N_RX_V1.06.FDS for receiver or ODIN2N_TX_V1.13.FDS for transmitter), and wait for the progress bar to fill up. Once finished, make sure to safely remove the Odin II from your computer to avoid any unwanted issues.

As a recommendation, it would be a good idea to re-open the executable, connect the upgraded device to the computer once more, and check the currently installed firmware to ensure the installation was successful.

With this in mind, download PHOTTIX Odin II for Nikon Firmware 1.06/1.13, follow all instructions highlighted above to properly apply the current firmware, and constantly check our website to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
