The new firmware update includes a few resolved issue

Just now, Dovado has rolled out a new firmware package targeted at its Tiny AC, Pro, and Pro AC wireless routers, namely version 8.4.2, which includes a few useful fixes regarding issues that have bothered users with the earlier release.

Specifically speaking, the Pro AC model won’t encounter any speed-related problems with Huawei modems, while Tiny AC routers will work properly along with WeMo products.

In addition to that, for Pro and Pro AC units, this new firmware resolves the issue with SIP clients when using Connection Tracker in failover mode, as well as the one with slow starting hard drives not showing up in user interface.

When it comes to installation, first of all, make sure that your wireless unit isn’t already running the present version (or newer), and if all is OK, save and unzip the downloadable archive for your router model, and log into the dashboard (username and password are required).

Now, go to Upgrade > HTTP Upgrade, click the “Browse” button, navigate and select the newly extracted .bin file, hit “Start HTTP Upgrade,” and allow the router to do its job (it takes about 3 minutes to complete).

Bear in mind that you mustn’t power off, use any of the router’s buttons, or interrupt the installation process in any way, as this will cause an update failure that can lead to serious device malfunctions, and can even render the device unusable.

With this in mind, download DOVADO Router Firmware 8.4.2 for your specific device model, take into account all the aspects mentioned above, and apply the latest version on your router.
