Intel has made available a new BIOS update targeted at its DQ77CP and DQ77MK desktop boards, namely version 0070, which only fixes a bug that made USB function unavailable after loading Windows 7.

If you have been encountering this issue, then you should definitely take into account a BIOS upgrade. However, bear in mind that this task should only be performed by users who have the knowledge to successfully complete the flashing process.

Moreover, the producer has provided its users with 4 downloadable packages that describe 3 different update methods from which you have to choose, namely Recovery, iflash, and Express BIOS Update procedures.

In order to be clear, the Recovery file must be used only to bring back the BIOS from an unstable state regardless of the operating system, while the iflash DOS-based utility, along with the self-extracting Express Windows file, can install a newer BIOS version.

However, if you consider applying this version, you should know that downgrading to an earlier iteration isn’t recommended and might not be supported. Also, it could lead to an update failure or device malfunctions.

So, in order to get the latest package for your desktop board, from the links below, choose the one that best describes your board, and from the list, click on the desired method-related link.
