Today, Creative has rolled out a new firmware package compatible with its Sound Blaster X7 and X7 Limited Edition amplifier, namely version 150918, which resolves the intermittent noise from “Line In left” channel issue, as well as the random firmware upgrade failure.

In addition to that, this update increases the unit’s standby duration to 72 hours before entering suspend mode, and improves USB Host compatibility with Xiaomi Mi3, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, and Sony Xperia Z3.

When it comes to fixes, the amplifiers won’t auto power off during playback from Line In/Optical In, and Bluetooth audio will be heard properly after pairing to a second device or streaming via USB Host for more than 30 minutes.

Moreover, the X7 Control app running on iOS 9 will be able to connect to Creative’s Sound Blaster X7, the Bluetooth LED will now blink when there is a connected device, headphones will be detected properly when first inserted, and a few other changes highlighted in the Release Notes will be implemented.

In terms of compatibility, you should know that Creative has provided a file targeted at Mac OS X 10.6.8 platforms and above, and another package suitable for computers running Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 operating systems.
