The release is only compatible with Windows 10 platforms

Today, a new Conexant SmartAudio HD driver has been spotted on Microsoft’s Update Catalog, namely version 8.65.142.60, which is only compatible with the 32- and 64-bit variants of Windows 10 operating systems.

Since there is no changelog available, I can only assume that this new release might implement various quality and stability improvements, driver customizations, or even audio enhancements.

Moreover, as it isn’t provided as an .exe file format, the installation process doesn’t require just opening the executable and following the on-screen instructions, but the steps aren’t too difficult either.

Specifically speaking, save the downloadable cab file, close all programs and processes that might interfere with the upgrade, extract the package, and wait for all files required to be extracted.

Afterwards, right click on My Computer, go to Manage > Device Manager (or simply search for it in Start Menu), right-click on the device you want to upgrade, and choose Update Driver Software. Now, manually select the new driver directory, and follow all instructions that allow installing the new build.

That said, download Conexant SmartAudio HD Driver 8.65.142.60 for Windows 10, apply it on your device, and check our website as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.” Also, don’t forget to restart the device to make sure that all changes take effect properly.
