AsusWrt-Merlin has announced the availability of a new firmware package targeted at many ASUS router models, namely version 380.69.0, which supports disabling Asus NAT tunnel service due to heavy CPU and RAM usage.

In addition to that, this release also syncs odhcp6c with upstream, updates libogg (1.3.3), libvorbis (1.3.5), OpenSSL (1.0.2n), wget (1.19.2), and TOR (0.2.9.14), and fixes CVE-2017-15275, CVE-2017-12163, and CVE-2017-12150 vulnerabilities.

Moreover, this stable firmware solves Trend Micro signature check failure (RSA validation), improves traffic routing, and includes many changes as described in the Release Notes below.

If you intend to make use of this new enhancement, first know that the developer has provided separate installation files compatible with ASUS’ RT-N66, RT-AC88, RT-AC87, RT-AC68, RT-AC66, RT-AC56, RT-AC5300, RT-AC3200, RT-AC3100, and RT-AC1900 wireless units.

Therefore, if supported, save the appropriate package for your device model, unzip it, establish a wired connection between the router and your computer, and go to Advanced Settings > Administration > Firmware Upgrade.

Afterward, near the “New Firmware File” section, hit “Choose File” button, navigate and select the .trx file, click “Upload,” and wait patiently for the upgrade to complete.

Even though it seems natural, bear in mind that interrupting this process in any way can lead to severe malfunctions and can even render the device unusable. Once finished, an appropriate message should be visible on your monitor.

With this in mind, download AsusWrt-Merlin Router Firmware 380.69.0 for your specific device, apply it, and regularly check our website to stay informed when newer versions are available for your device.
