AMD has pushed out a new graphics driver targeted at several of its GPU models, namely the Radeon and Radeon Pro Software Adrenalin Edition 18.7.1, which provides increased performance for both desktop and mobile platforms.

Specifically speaking, the Radeon release improves overall performance for Earthfall by up to 28% (on Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB), 22% (on Radeon RX 580 8GB), and 27% (on Radeon RX 560 4GB) compared to the previous driver.

Moreover, the update resolves CorelDraw’s slow performance, Fortnite Season 5 app hangs, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice flickering and corruptions, and certain issues experienced when setting resolution or refresh rates of a display.

As for the Radeon Pro update, the available packages fix intermittent Petrel hangs, Adobe Premiere Pro crashes, and other issues as highlighted in the description page of each download.

Regarding compatibility, besides a supported GPU, your configuration must be running a 32- or 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 or 10 operating systems; the Radeon Pro release benefits from a Server 2008 R2 compatible package, as well.

As for installation, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.
