The new driver update adds support for Radeon RX 460, RX 470, RX 550, and RX 560 series graphics cards

AMD has announced the availability of the July version of its Radeon Software Crimson Edition Graphics driver, namely the 17.7.1 Non-WHQL package, which implements support for Radeon RX 460, RX 470, RX 550, and RX 560 series graphics cards.

In addition to that, the producer has also managed to resolve a few bugs that lead to crashes in Tekken 7 (on Radeon RX 380 Series GPUs), Adobe Lightroom CC 2015.10, and FFXIV and Little Nightmares (on Radeon RX 300 Series cards).

However, AMD’s release might still experience a few issues with Radeon Settings, Radeon WattMan, Tom Clancy's: Rainbow Six Siege, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and World of Warcraft, as well as a few other problems highlighted in the Release Notes below.

In terms of compatibility, besides a supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 32- or 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems (Windows 8.1 32-bit is no longer supported),

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Crimson ReLive Graphics Driver 17.7.1, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
