AMD has announced the availability of a new version for the FirePro and Radeon Pro Enterprise Graphics driver, namely the 18.Q1.1 WHQL packages, which resolves the constant app hangs with Petrel, the occasional blank screen seen with an 8K display, and more.

This update includes enterprise-level support for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (including Mixed Reality functionality), fixes display issues spotted when closing DOPP window, and makes sure sparse textures are not rendered black in CATIA.

In addition to that, AMD’s new driver won’t have problems when playing Stock Simulation in HSMWorks for SOLIDWORKS, improves the user experience for Cinema 4D in Vulkan mode, and includes several fixes as highlighted in the Release Notes below get resolved.

Regarding compatibility, the producer has provided four executables suitable for each 32- and 64-bit architectures of Windows 7 and 10 platforms, as well as two additional files for Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2016 (both 64-bit).

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.
