Just now, AMD has rolled out its new 15.7.1 Catalyst graphics package compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems, which is provided on the occasion of Microsoft’s official Windows 10 release.

Besides being compatible with this latest operating system, AMD’s update also includes full support for WDDM 2.0 and DirectX 12, and implements image quality enhancements through its Virtual Super Resolution (VSR) technology.

In addition to that, the producer adds Frame Rate Target Control (FRTC) option that allows setting a max frame rate when playing certain games or apps. With this new feature, users will be able to reduce GPU power consumption and system heat, as well as lower fan speeds and noise.

Moving forward, version 15.7.1 gives users the ability to make use of FreeSync and CrossFire simultaneously, improves Counter-Strike: Global Offensive performance, and resolves crash issues encountered while playing Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, or Mantle-based applications.

Moreover, AMD has managed to fix BSOD when performing an express uninstall of the display driver, as well as various flickering corruptions. Also, the present release includes several other changes that you can view via the Release Notes button below.

As for installation, simply save and run the appropriate package for your system configuration (suitable for both desktop and notebooks), and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful upgrade.
