Today, along with the release of the Kindle Oasis 8th Generation e-reader, Amazon has also announced the availability of a new firmware package for its new device, namely version 5.7.4, which should include some performance, stability, and usability improvements.

The 6-inch one-handed device can be easily upgraded to the present firmware either automatically (delivered wirelessly by Amazon, therefore you’ll have to wait for your e-reader to receive the upgrade), or manually.

This latter method requires you to check the current firmware version by going to Home > Menu > Settings > Menu > Device Info, and make sure it isn’t already 5.7.4, or newer.

If all is OK, connect the Oasis to the computer, copy the downloadable file onto the root folder of the Kindle’s drive, remove the USB cable from the e-Reader, go to Home > Menu > Settings > Menu > Update Your Kindle, and tap “OK” to confirm the selection.

At this point, the device will reboot starting the installation process, and when it powers back up, the “Kindle is upgrading” message will be displayed on the screen. All you need to do is wait for the installation to complete; when it does, the Kindle will automatically restart once more.

Now that you have taken into account all the important aspects, download Amazon Kindle Oasis 8th Generation Firmware 5.7.4, upgrade your Kindle, and constantly check our website to stay “update one minute ago.”
