14 DAY TRIAL // ZyXEL has recently released a new firmware update for its UAG4100 unified access gateway. This release comes with an enhanced internal welcome page at web authentication and support for double printout at printer management.
To install it, download the ZyXEL UAG4100 Gateway Firmware 4.00(AAIZ.2)C0 and extract the contents of the archive to an accessible location.
Next, log into the device using a browser. The default address is 172.16.0.1/16, username “admin” and password “1234.”
After logging in, go to “Maintenance” and select “File Manager.” Click “Configuration File” and use the next screen to back up your current configuration.
Under the “File Manager” menu, select “Firmware Package,” browse for the newly extracted files and select “400AAIZ2C0.bin.” Finally, hit “Upload” and the update begins.
The process is complete a few minutes after the device restarts.
Download the new firmware, install it and stay “updated one minute ago.”
