Just now, Western Digital has rolled out a new firmware package targeted at its TV Live Streaming media player, namely version 2.02.32, which includes a large number of changes, fixed issues, as well as support for several new services.

In order to be clear, this new release adds support for Miracast, GRID UI user interface theme, and Flixster & Rotten Tomato ratings in the video browser UI, and allows HTTP, FTP, P2P, and NZB downloads.

In addition to that, version 2.02.32 updates WD TV EULA, includes an autoplay application, supports USB storage apps, and allows a homepage shortcut if “Grid” is selected as theme. Moreover, UK users now benefit from BBC iPlayer, BBC News, and BBC Sport support.

When it comes to fixes, the new package resolves the SOMA.FM stations that wouldn’t run properly in Tunein app service, resume point issue for movies spotted after restarting the player, as well as the no-sound problem encountered with DVD ISO files (only if DVD Menu is set to off).

As for the new services supported, since there are a large number of them, make sure to check the changelog on the description page of the download. In addition to that, on the same page, you can also view the installation procedure for WD’s TV Live Streaming media player.

With this in mind, download WD TV Live Streaming Media Player Firmware 2.02.32, apply it on your device, and enjoy your newly improved media player.
