New SSDs are supported with the fresh toolbox edition

Version 3.0.4 of the firmware toolbox for Intel solid-state drives is now live and can be downloaded as of now.

Intel does not specify any functional improvements for the Toolbox itself, but outs a list of new SSDs which will be supported starting with the current application version. The firmware upgrade list is a follows:

710 series upgrades to 6PB10362, 320 series upgrades to 4PC10362, 311 series upgrades to 2CV102M5, 310 series upgrades to 2CV102M3, X18-M / X25-M SATA SSDs (34nm) upgrades to 2CV102M3, and X25-V SATA SSD upgrades to 2CV102M3.

At the same time, Intel warns that some users should use the company's SATA Solid-State Drive Firmware Update Tool. It's the case with people running 510 series model PPG2 or PPG4 (120GB SSD), PWG2 or PWG4 (250GB SSD), X18-M/X25-M SATA SSDs (50nm) firmware 045C8820 and X25-E SATA SSD (50nm) firmware 045C8850.

It is advisable to back up the data on your SSDs prior to making any firmware upgrades.
