Western Digital has just released 2 new firmware packages targeted at 2 of its media players, namely version 3.12.13 and 1.16.13, compatible with its TV Live Hub media center and TV Live Streaming media player, respectively.

The new versions add support for Creepster channel, Euronews, and MLB.TV closed captioning for both devices, and in addition to that, the TV Live Streaming’s firmware includes Saturn Video support as well.

Moreover, both packages resolve issues with the AccuWeather weekend forecast that didn’t display the full weekend, fixes the CinemaNow video download problem, and adds workarounds for the Deezer reboot and music that wouldn’t play in France, Germany, and U.K.

In addition to that, the MLB TV reboot issues such as exiting the game during loading screen, or pressing BACK in archived game are now fixed, and its problem with the timebar, which remained active even when the game was over or completed, is resolved.

Furthermore, MLB TV archived games now start from the beginning, video component output setting doesn’t revert to HDMI or composite, and stopping a long-term playback from USB doesn’t encounter a black screen.

And last but not least, WD’s latest release fixes various UI translation issues, and resolves problems with Windows PlayTo that wouldn’t play MP4, 3GP, and AACADTS format files.

As for installing these version, the update procedures are the same as for the previous 3.11.10 and 1.15.10 versions; therefore, make sure you read the instructions, and from the links below, choose the one that best describes your WD device.
