VIA Labs has made available a new driver developed for its superspeed USB controllers, namely version 4.30A, which is compatible with its VL800, VL801, VL805, and VL806 chipsets, and can be installed on Microsoft Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 OSes.

This newly released version fixes an issue encountered after stopping the host controller where the driver touches the XHCI MMIO register, and the one where VL71x MPTools fail to recognize the VL71x device (only when no HDD is connected to it).

In addition to that, the package also adds UASP client driver logo for Microsoft Windows 8.1 platform, and contains both the USB 3.0 driver (version 6.1.7600.4301) and the UASP storage device installation files (the 6.1.7600. 4002 client driver, and 1.0.0.15 transfer utility).

That being said, if you consider updating to this version, simply download VIA Labs USB 3.0 Controller Driver 4.30A for the proper chipset, expand the archive, run the executable from the newly created folder, and follow the onscreen instructions.
