The release fixes error when wireless SSID is too long

Leica has just made available its 1.310 firmware version compatible with T (Typ 701) digital cameras, which fixes various errors encountered when using certain SD card models, as well as the ones spotted when trying to connect to a wireless network with a very long SSID.

In addition to that, this new release also resolves the issue where image numbering would restart from 0 after the camera was reset or its firmware updated, and removed the unnecessary icons displayed in EVF live view image while using M-adapter T.

With this in mind, if you intend to apply the present version, download and unzip the downloadable archive, and copy its content onto the root folder of a formatted memory card (must be initialized using a Leica T camera).

Afterwards, make sure your imaging device benefits from a fully charged battery, turn the unit off, connect the newly-prepared SD card, and power on the camera while pressing and holding Video Release button.

If all has been done correctly, at this point Leica’s device should recognize the new firmware and prompt you with additional installation steps.

Bear in mind that, while upgrading (somewhere around 2 minutes), you mustn’t remove the SD card/battery or use any of the camera’s buttons. Doing so might interrupt the installation which can also lead to various malfunctions.

Therefore, download Leica T (Typ 701) Camera Firmware 1.310, carefully apply it by following all steps described above, and enjoy the improvements this new release brings about.
