Cactus has rolled out the 1.1.004 firmware version compatible with V6 wireless flash transceivers, which resolves an issue where the device wouldn’t recognize the first trigger after it was turned on in channel 13, 14, 15, or 16.

In addition to that, this update fixes the incorrect number of found flashes displayed in TX absolute power setup and improves connectivity with Phottix Mitros and Mitros+ units by resolving various errors.

If you apply the present release, Cactus’ V6 won’t retrieve the last delay timer setting when in RX mode unless that option is turned on, and the toggling between swap function and the power level screen won’t be encountered anymore.

As for new features, version 1.1.004 includes “Four-Third” and “Micro Four-Third” flash profiles support for Olympus FL-50R and FL-36R, Panasonic FL-500R and FL-360R, as well as Metz 58 AF-2, 52 AF-1, and 44 AF-1 systems.

To further detail this latter addition, it must be said that due to hardware design limitations, devices such as Olympus FL-600R/FL-300R and Panasonic FL-580L/FL-360L will not be able to make use of these flash profiles.

When it comes to applying this release, you can enjoy the benefits of version 1.1.004 by installing it using Cactus’ 1.11 firmware updater that is compatible with Microsoft’s Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 OSes (digital signature must be disabled on Windows 8 systems).

That being said, download Cactus V6 Transceiver Firmware 1.1.004, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and upgrade your unit to the present release. Also, constantly check our website in order to be up to speed with the latest releases.
