ASUS has rolled out a new firmware package developed for TF701T Transformer Pad units, namely version 11.4.1.27, which updates Google mobile services, fixes the IME issue, improves camera stability, and lowers power consumption during Wi-Fi usage.

Before even considering a firmware upgrade, check your tablet’s currently installed software version and Stock Keeping Unit (or SKU) by going to Settings > About Device > Build Number.

In order to be clear, if at the specified location you can read “WW-11.4.1.17_xxxxxxx” or similar, then your current firmware is 11.4.1.17, while the SKU that you should look for is “WW.”

Bear in mind that firmware upgrade processes aren’t capable of switching between SKUs. Also, trying to apply a different SKU than the one already found on your tablet will not only cause an update failure but also lead to serious device malfunctions.

Moreover, prior to installing any new software, it would be best that all important data found on the tablet be backed up, as system upgrades might delete various files. However, this isn’t a generally valid situation, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

As for the installation steps, make sure to check your tablet’s manual provided by the producer so that no problems are encountered.

However, largely, you should save and transfer the archive to the tablet’s internal storage, wait for the TF701T to recognize the new software, and follow the onscreen instructions for a complete upgrade.

That being said, download ASUS Transformer Pad TF701T Firmware 11.4.1.27 for the proper SKU, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and apply the latest firmware version on your device.
