TBS has recently released new drivers for its TBS6285 and TBS6281 TV tuners. The update refers to the DVB-T2/T and DVB-C versions of the products and aims to fix various small bugs.

Users have reported these tuners as being excellent replacements for TBS6284 and TBS6280, their older siblings. Also, many have reported running into an unusual issue: the device is fairly reliable in starting up from sleep and unreliable starting up from power off.

If you happen to be one of the many experiencing this, the solution is to change the power saving configuration on the PCI Express bus.

To do so, Go to “Control Panel,” “Power Options,” “Change Plan Settings,” “Change advanced power settings,” “PCI Express” and, finally, “Link State Power Management.”

Below are the links to the drivers. Download and install them and come back to mention what the “small bugs” fixed by TBS are.
