Sony has just released firmware version 1.04 for their SLT-A37 camera. This release offers support for SAL100M28, SAL50M28, SAL85F28, SAL18200, SAL20F28 and SAL28F28 automatic compensation compliant lenses.

Version 1.04 can be installed on the SLT-A37 via a PC running Windows XP / Vista / 7 or 8. The 1.04 is an update for the SLT-A37K and SLT-A37M cameras as well, but Windows 8 is not on the supported OS list.

The Compact SLR features a 16 megapixel sensor with 15 focus points and face detection. You can also make full HD videos with it.

A handy feature is its 2.6” articulated screen that allows you to take pictures even when the camera is well above your head or in a position that doesn't allow seeing what the camera is focusing on.

The SLT-A37 is well reviewed and very much appreciated for the “value for money” aspect, prices starting at around $500(€368.73).
