As PlayStation Europe promised on Twitter yesterday, Sony has just rolled out its 3.51 firmware update a few moments ago, which is compatible with PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV devices.

In terms of changes, the producer highlights in its tweet that this release is only a minor update that should improve the devices’ overall stability. However, it would be a good idea to apply this new firmware and find out what the changes really are.

To do so, first of all download the .PUP file and save it on a formatted Vita card, power off your console, and insert the card into its appropriate slot. Afterwards, turn on the device, and simply follow all instructions, as the console will automatically guide you through the update process.

When it comes to PS TV systems, you can either use the Vita card prepared before and the same steps or you can create a “PSVITA/UPDATE” path on a USB drive and download the .PUP file there.

Once the USB is ready, turn off your PS TV, press and hold the power button for at least 7 seconds in order to enter safe mode, connect a controller, go to Update System Software > Update from USB Storage Device, and connect the stick.

That said, download Sony PlayStation Vita / PlayStation TV Firmware 3.51, carefully apply it on your devices, and constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
