Just now, Sony announced the availability of a new system software update developed for its PlayStation 4 gaming console, namely version 2.03, which improves overall software stability during the use of some features, just like the previous Sony PS4 Firmware 2.02 release.

If you intend to apply software 2.03 on your PlayStation 4 device, simply create a “PS4” directory onto a formatted USB flash drive (must be FAT32), as well as an “UPDATE” one within it, and save the downloadable .PUP file.

Afterwards, copy the firmware into the newly-made update folder, make sure the console is powered off completely, insert the memory stick to the PS4, and press and hold the power button for at least 7 seconds so that the unit can enter safe mode.

Now, just go to the “Update System Software” section and the PlayStation will guide you through the installation; just make sure to follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful upgrade.

Bear in mind that while installing, it is highly recommended that you don’t power off the PS4, remove the USB drive that contains the update file, or use any of the device’s buttons – this will interrupt the upgrade and might lead to serious device malfunctions.

That being said, download Sony PlayStation 4 Firmware 2.03, apply the latest software on your PS4 system, and constantly check our website in order to be the first who knows when a newer version is available.
