Just now, Sony has made available the download links for its latest firmware update targeted at the PlayStation 3 game console, namely version 4.60, which improves once more the overall system software stability while using various features.

In order to make use of these enhancements, get the downloadable firmware, create a “PS3/UPDATE” path onto a compatible flash drive and copy the “PS3UPDAT.PUP” file into the newly-created update folder.

After the file has completely transferred, insert the memory drive into the PS3, go to Settings → System Update → Update via Storage Media, and allow the console to search for the new firmware. When found, the system will automatically display the new version and ask for your permission to initiate the installation.

Simply press the X button to start the upgrade and follow the instructions displayed on-screen for a successful update. Also, once finished, make sure to go to Settings → System Settings → System Information and check to see if the 4.60 firmware has been applied.

Even though the process might seem easy, bear in mind that during the installation you mustn’t turn off the PS3 or remove the drive on which the update has been copied. Doing so will not only interrupt the upgrade, but it might also seriously damage the console – so be careful.

With this in mind, download Sony PlayStation 3 Firmware 4.60, take into account the aforementioned aspects, apply the latest version and constantly check with our website in order to be “updated one minute ago.”
